What method do you use to prepare your coffee or tea?

Coffee is made in my new red Kitchen Aid coffee maker (it looks a little like a Dalek). The beans are in a vacuum-sealed container, and are ground fresh in my red Kitchen Aid coffee grinder. Or sometimes I'll do the French press thing if the mood strikes me. I take cream, (unless it's fake or powdered cream, then I take it as black as my heart) but never sugar. For some reason, I can't stand sweet or flavored coffee, which kind of leaves me out of the whole Starbucks experience. ;)

For tea, I have an electric kettle, and usually make it with a bag in the mug, and steep until it's pretty strong. I love the electric kettle because it has a setting for green tea. If I'm doing loose tea, I have these wonderful little things from Adagio Tea that drain the water through the leaves right into the cup. Very ingenious. Or sometimes I'll go all out and do the whole 'warm the pot, brew the tea, strain into the cup'. It all depends on what I feel like. I like my tea plain, or with milk, and sometimes just a little sugar. Some faves: Twining's Earl Grey (a lovely British friend sent me the real stuff, Twining's Blackcurrent, Numi Gunpowder Green, Ten Ren's Jasmine first grade, Stash Peppermint.
